“They didn’t build Kraków in a day” was something my acrobatics coach used to say many years ago. Her other favorite phrase was, “Better... not to say anything”. Between those two expressions lay the essence of the sport that gymnastics was—and still is.

Gymnastics is one of the most demanding disciplines, developing strength, flexibility, and body awareness all at once. To truly master a movement, you must repeat it dozens, sometimes hundreds of times, until it becomes second nature and is stored in your body’s memory. Gymnastics taught me patience, consistency, and trust in the process.

In many ways, the Gyrotonic® Method is similar to gymnastics. The exercises may not be as demanding, but regular and mindful practice leads to lasting change. Repeated movements become healthy patterns that help the body respond naturally and protect itself from strain and injury. When we stumble or lose our balance, there is no time to think—the body simply does what it has been trained to do.

Like gymnastics, the Gyrotonic® Method creates more space within the body and helps us gradually move beyond our physical limitations. It teaches movement that originates from the body’s center, reducing unnecessary tension and allowing us to move with greater ease and freedom. It is something we need to "relearn". I say “relearn” because these natural movement patterns were once instinctive to us as children. Over time, however, stress, sedentary habits, and everyday routines often cause us to lose touch with them.

Having worked as a Gyrotonic® trainer for many years, I have witnessed how profoundly the mind influences the body—and how the body can, in turn, affect the mind. Opening the chest can sometimes release emotions that have been held inside for years. Focusing on movement and breath helps quiet the constant stream of thoughts, bringing the mind into the present moment.

A calm mind does not fight the body. It works with it.

This is when the body can access its natural capacity for healing, recovery, and balance. I believe that each of us possesses the inner strength needed to care for and restore our own body. My role is simply to guide and support you on that journey, sharing my knowledge and experience while helping you discover the potential that already exists within you.

  well-being after training

FAVORITE EXERCISE: all of them;)
MISSION: show the
GYROTONIC® method a way of living with healthy movement

Maciek likes to give a concrete impression. He is a great motivator and encourages you to try something new during each training session. There is simply no boredom with him and there is always a lot of laughter! It also reminds you of the infinite possibilities of the body, which, with the support of machines, can strengthen and open up in a safe and healthy way.

Maciek's story is an example when children inspire their parents. Maciek's daughter founded the first GYROTONIC® studio in Poland. If you're in Sopot - check them out! - visit www.lapzdrowie.pl
