The GYROTONIC® Method
Gyrotonic Expansion System - co to jest?
gr. Gyros - wheel
Tonic - tonic, melody, music, rhythm
GYROTONIC® is a modern functional training with the use of special equipment. Unlike other systems in which the exercises are performed in a vertical or horizontal plane, GYROTONIC® focuses on circular or "wave" movement, which gives the spine and the whole body elasticity. Our bones and joints are rounded and our body is best able to move in a circular and wave motion, just like a everything else in this world.

In today's culture, we spend a lot of time sitting. The body adapts to this position to such an extent that when we finally try to get up from behind the desk and go for a run, the hips still remain in the " remembered" sitting position, and as a result we overload the joints and spine.
The GYROTONIC® method properly distributes the supporting and resisting forces , so as to "teach" the body to move in every plane effortlessly, no overloading it. Because there is movement in every direction. So when you go for a run and there is a hole in the road, or someone or something suddenly appears suddenly, your body will be able to handle the situation without injuring yourself.
Unlike other strengthening systems that mainly focus on the limbs (arms and legs), GYROTONIC® "goes out" from the center and distributes from there strength to the arms and legs. As masters of various martial arts have always done it. GYROTONIC® creates a balance in the body between strength and flexibility, maximizing the efficiency of movement and reducing the risk of injury.

A strong center is not just about the abdominal muscles; "crunches" alone will not teach the body, e.g. in a game of tennis, how to make the right move at the right moment to redirect the biggest strength to hit the ball, or they will not help, for example, in jumping, how to distribute the force so as not to hurt yourself in an unusual landing position.
The GYROTONIC® method "creates" flexibility , resilience and strength in all possible planes (body positions), and the center is dynamic and thus the body is prepared for any movement in any, even unforeseen circumstances. So that you can do what you want, play any sport you want, without unnecessary effort, pain or injuries.
For professional athletes: it's the only system that can at the same time improve performance, reduce the risk of injury and accelerate training progress in all sports.
